My habits in
Colorado
I went to Aspen last February
(Glenwood Springs )
Everyone has his
or her own habits, such as sports, sleeping and studying. In fact, when I came
to the United States, I increased a lot of hobbies. There are many differences between
China and the United States. After coming the United States, in order to
improve English, I would listen to the English ten minutes every morning. When
I drive, I listen to the English radio every day, also this is different
between in China, and in China I often listened to the music, which is pop
music. Coming Denver, I began to go to the gym because I find here a lot of
students or workers after work will go to exercise, so I also like to go to the
gym every week. My favorites sport is yoga, I had never try yoga in my country. There are many Chinese in Denver; I
also have many Chinese friends here. In the winter, every weekend we often have
activates which is going to hot springs or to go skiing. My best girlfriend
whose hair is red, she often go to shopping center with me. My life is very colorful in Denver, and I have many America
friends they often invited me to join in their party. I really enjoy the life
in Denver, and the people here are friendly, also environment is comfortable. I'd like to live here. Overall, I think my life will become better than before because I have some good friends and good teachers, also I am studying level 5 right now. I believe that I can enter into University of Denver on this September.
Life 50 years ago
If I had lived in Colorado in 1963, I
wouldn’t have had a house. I might lived
in a poor little apartment with my family, and we wouldn’t have had enough food, also we
wouldn’t have had
a car.
It is not easy to go to school,
and college cost so much money for a child to study at school. I go to school
by a bicycle, and my mother lose her job. Also my older sister wouldn’t have
had a chance go to University. If I had lived in
Colorado in 1963,
only population we only had one hundred thousand people in Denver, was
difficult to saw a car on the road. We wouldn’t have had a television in our
home, so we only read books and newspapers. If I had lived in 1963, I would have been thinner than now, because there did not have too much fast food restaurants. If I had
lived in Colorado in 1963, I wouldn’t have had good education. I would have had
clean rivers and sparse population in Colorado. If I had lived in Colorado in
1963, I wouldn’t have had a chance go to Europe and I wouldn’t have had a
chance traveled other city.
